Marketing and Communications Director
Currier Museum of Art
October 2024 to present
I am building the marketing department at New Hampshire's public art museum from the ground up, creating strategies, tools, and systems to help amplify the museum's story, expand its audiences, and steward a resilient future for the institution.
This includes a deep focus on storytelling, brand positioning, and enhanced digital experiences, working to create an ecosystem that inspires people to visit the museum, belong to the museum, and champion the museum.
Highlights:
- Creating a new signature storytelling platform, Art for every season, which combines the brevity of a calendar with the heart of a magazine into an impactful seasonal direct mail piece and complementary digital suite.
- Collaborating with a UX designer to completely re-imagine the museum website, developing a content strategy that celebrates the museum's strengths and distinct warmth. With a nonprofit budget and a team of two, we completed this project within six months.
- Cultivating innovative content partnerships with local creators and outlets, like a sponsored monthly column with indie news outlet Ink Link focused on lifting up the arts in Manchester.
- Developing an elevated, warm, and inspiring brand identity that positions the Currier as an arts destination that feels like home and celebrates the people who bring the museum's story to life.
- Stewarding a breakthrough content strategy for the museum's "NH Gives" campaign that raised the museum $50K in 24 hours.
Copy Director and Presidential Speechwriter
In-House Agency
Marketing
University of New Hampshire
February 2020-October 2024
After two years as the lead copywriter and content strategist for enrollment marketing, I stepped into a new role as the Copy Director for the university's in-house marketing agency and the speechwriter for President James Dean Jr.
My charge was to help the university develop a marketing voice and brand story that inspired its core audiences, from alumni to potential graduate students, with messages rooted in brand positioning. This included concepting, pitching, and executing award-winning collateral and campaigns, like The Field Guide to UNH. This project began with a simple premise: how can we re-imagine the viewbook so that potential students are the hero of their own journey, and UNH is the helpful guide.
As the lead speechwriter for the President, I was chiefly a translator, turning institutional priorities into resonant messages for a range of audiences and stakeholders.
I also regularly wrote stories for UNH Today and UNH Magazine.

July 2018-January 2020
As the communications director for Massachusetts state representative Kate Hogan, a member of House leadership, I oversaw strategic communications and media relations and shaped content strategy and messaging driven by the representative's policy, district, and thought leadership goals. I also wrote prolifically, adapting complex policy issues into accessible speeches, news articles, and constituent newsletters, finding and communicating the human story in the nuts and bolts of state government.

At WFP, I played a key role in developing global youth outreach partnerships and innovating our educational content, including creating an interactive World Food Day lesson plan with The New York Times Learning Network, a digital advocacy course with the One Campaign, and a cross-promotional partnership with Kaplan. I wrote daily blog posts and web stories, oversaw social media content for the North American digital channels, and collaborated with our digital media partners.
I was also an active member of the creative team for the organization's cause-related marketing campaigns, writing social media copy for the #WatchHungerStop campaign with Michael Kors, as well as a variety of copy for campaigns with Zumba, Stevia, and The Hunger Games.COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
